One of my "Andiamo!" series of sketches evoking vintage travel. These Mid-century girls are off on their adventures in Europe. Coco, in her Dior New Look suit (or costume as they were called) is taking Fifi for a stroll to the Eiffel Tower. She became my real favourite (you shouldn't have a favourite child!) and our mascot and logo.

These breezy and nostalgic sketches are in ink and water-colour, using the wash technique created by illustrators of that era. The drawings and paintings are all done by hand in traditional media, and have the spontaneity that comes with long practice and delight in the subject. Trained as a fashion designer at the Royal College of Art in London, I eventually gave up the "rag trade" to become a full time artist and illustrator. Wondering why there were no greetings cards with pictures of lovely women, I introduced some - and the idea certainly caught on! See my varied ranges of cards on the website.
The A4 prints come ready mounted in an antique white board mount, size 25.5cm X38cm, suiting many readily available frames. A3 prints, available at £25 come rolled in a sturdy cardboard tube.
